The Blake Society was founded in 1985 and to celebrate the 25th anniversary there is to be a party hosted by Tate Britain and held on Blake’s birthday Sunday 28 November 2010 from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm in the Clore Gallery. Tea, cakes and conversation will follow swiftly on from a sequence of even swifter presentations in the Auditorium ranging through music, film, scholarship and revelation. These will include a singer from the Holy Land, an illustrated talk on the 8 newly discovered etchings & aphorisms, a prophetic view of the digital diaspora, and the world premiere of Ray Winstone’s short film ‘Jerusalem’.  Each guest will receive a birthday gift.  If you wish to attend then please email  party@blakesociety.org  as the capacity of the Clore Auditorium is limited.
