October Event

At Midnight on Tuesday 18 October 2011, the Society gathers at Blake’s only surviving London house to recreate the friendship between Blake and John Varley who sat up through the early hours together to await the appearance of those visions known as the Visionary Heads. Leave behind your scepticism. Bring a candle!

September Event

At noon on Sunday 18th September the lost Angel Oak will be replanted on Peckham Rye where the 8 year old Blake first saw a vision of angels.  The event begins with a walk in search of the modern angel.

“A tree filled with angels, bright angelic wings bespangling every bough like stars.”

August Meeting

At 12 Noon on Sunday 14 August 2011, the Society meets for its annual gathering at Bunhill Fields - the date is chosen to be the Sunday falling between the death in Fountain Court and the burial in Bunhill Fields during August 1827.  This year we are honoured to have the actor Kenneth Jay to perform his one man play ‘William Blake: Letters from Paradise’.  Afterwards you are invited to join us for lunch at a nearby pub. Everyone is welcome. Do come!
