Blake Journal seeks submissions

The Blake Journal, the occasional annual publication of the Blake Society,

seeks submissions for future issues of photography, poetry, articles, fiction,

creative nonfiction and any amorphous form.

Our mission is to explore Blake’s ideas and work in old and new contexts,

transgressing the boundaries of scholarship - itself a mind-forg’d manacle.

If you would like to canvas an idea for a piece with the editors then please

contact either Paige Morgan or Angus Whitehead : journal@blakesociety.org

William Blake’s London: a new adaptation

The Blake Society is delighted to offer a preview of a new cover of William Blake’s “London”, from the Songs of Experience. This arrangement is by local London blues band Sister Mary and the Choirboys; music by Fred Thomas and Ben Moorhouse, vocals by Emine Pirhasan. Sister Mary and the Choirboys play regular gigs at various locations throughout the city. More information available at their website or at their MySpace page.

Many thanks to Sister Mary and the Choirboys for giving the Blake Society permission to stream their music on our website.
