William Blake Grave Project

We are raising funds to buy, install and maintain a stone to mark the exact spot where Blake is buried in Bunhill Fields and to inscribe the paving stones between this stone and the existing Blake memorial with words by Blake. For more information about the history of the search for the grave, and progress in finding it, visit Friends of Blake.

If for any reason we can’t proceed with this project, or there are surplus funds left over following the completion of the project and the establishment of an endowment for maintenance, we will use the money to fund other special projects connected with Blake and his work.

As the Blake Society is a Registered Charity in the United Kingdom we are able to take advantage of the Gift Aid scheme. This costs you nothing but allows us to reclaim the tax you have already paid. To qualify you must have paid an amount of UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to the sum Treasury repays us.
